Zahr Freighters, a trusted name in freight and logistics services in Dubai, is looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy professional who can troubleshoot technical issues, maintain system efficiency, and support end-users in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues across the company.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor system performance and resolve connectivity or application-related problems.
- Manage user accounts, email systems, and security permissions.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure data protection and system integrity.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and log all support requests and resolutions accurately.
- Coordinate with vendors for IT purchases, repairs, and software licensing.
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity protocols and compliance with IT policies.
- Provide training or guidance to staff on basic system operations and tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in logistics or a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, MS Office, networking, and basic server administration.
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting, system upgrades, and printer/network configuration.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to technical emergencies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
