Zahr Freighters is seeking a proactive and organized Logistics Executive to join its operations team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong coordination, planning, and communication skills who can manage freight movements, shipment schedules, transportation activities, and logistics documentation. The successful candidate will help ensure timely deliveries and efficient coordination across the company’s freight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily freight, logistics, transportation, and delivery activities.
- Plan and monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Coordinate with drivers, freight partners, warehouses, customers, and service providers.
- Track shipments and provide timely status updates to customers and management.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents, delivery notes, invoices, and logistics records.
- Verify shipment details, quantities, and documentation before dispatch.
- Coordinate loading, unloading, collection, and delivery activities with relevant teams.
- Monitor shipment delays, delivery issues, and discrepancies and arrange appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements, transportation activities, and delivery schedules.
- Assist with monitoring transportation costs and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
- Ensure logistics activities comply with company procedures and applicable UAE regulations.
- Prepare logistics reports and provide operational updates to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Good understanding of shipment coordination, freight documentation, and delivery procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and logistics or ERP software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Dubai routes and UAE logistics procedures is an advantage.
