At Zahr Freighters in Dubai, we are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage our warehouse operations efficiently. This role will involve maintaining inventory records, coordinating with logistics teams, and ensuring the smooth flow of stock. Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy, including monitoring by batch/expiry.
- Coordination & Logistics:
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of shipments.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage conditions for different types of products.
- Ensure efficient storage of goods, optimizing space and maintaining an organized warehouse layout.
- Staff Supervision & Training:
- Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Supervise and train storekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse performance.
- Use data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations within the FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Fluent in English and an Asian language.
- Strong computer skills, with good knowledge of MS Office.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
