Zahr Freighters is seeking a trustworthy and detail-oriented Cashier to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a professional who can accurately process financial transactions, maintain cash records, and provide excellent customer service while supporting the company’s daily financial operations. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in handling all payment-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process cash, credit/debit card, cheque, and electronic payments accurately.
- Generate receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations for customers and clients.
- Maintain daily cash balances and reconcile cash transactions at the end of each shift.
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain proper supporting documentation.
- Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the finance department.
- Record financial transactions accurately in the accounting or ERP system.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to payments, billing, and receipts in a professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial records and company information.
- Assist the accounting team with financial documentation and administrative tasks when required.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal control procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience as a Cashier, Billing Executive, or in a finance-related role.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cash-handling procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting or billing software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Honest, reliable, and capable of handling financial transactions with integrity and accuracy.
