Zahr Freighters is looking for a dedicated and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to join our IT team in Dubai. This role is ideal for an IT professional with strong troubleshooting abilities who can maintain the company’s technology infrastructure, provide technical support to employees, and ensure uninterrupted business operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in keeping systems secure, reliable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems through on-site and remote support.
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi connectivity, and internet services.
- Manage user accounts, email systems, passwords, and access permissions.
- Perform software installations, updates, antivirus management, and system maintenance.
- Conduct regular system backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain IT asset inventories, technical documentation, and support records.
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repairs and software licensing when required.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with Active Directory, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and printer management.
- Familiarity with cloud services, cybersecurity practices, and backup solutions.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Professional IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are an added advantage.
